Dhaka: A Bangladeshi woman trainee pilot was killed and her trainer injured on Wednesday when their aircraft caught fire on a runway here.

The plane of Bangladesh Flying Academy caught fire while taking off at the Rajshahi's Shah Makhdum Domestic Airport in Dhaka, police said.

The incident left Tamanna, a trainee pilot dead and Sayeed Kamal, her trainer injured, a police official was quoted as saying by bdnews24.
