Islamabad: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari was
given a clean bill of health by doctors after undergoing a
series of medical tests in London, the presidential spokesman
said on Sunday.
A medical bulletin issued from London by Maj Gen Azhar
Kayani, the personal physician of the President, said Zardari
underwent a routine medical check-up in a hospital "as planned
in advance".
Kayani was quoted by presidential spokesman Farhatullah
Babar as saying that the doctors had given a "clean chit of
health" to Zardari after carrying out the tests.
The President is "absolutely fine", Babar said.
Zardari underwent "some routine medical tests and an
angiography".
The President recently travelled to London for a private
visit for the medical tests.
