One more threat letter to Jayalalithaa

AIADMK-backed Jaya TV o Wednesday said they had received one more letter threatening the life of party chief Jayalalithaa which would be `executed` during her visit to Madurai this month.

Chennai: AIADMK-backed Jaya TV o Wednesday said they had received one more letter threatening the life of party chief Jayalalithaa which would be `executed` during her visit to Madurai this month.

The channel vice president (Administration and legal) S Ranganathan, in a letter to Inspector of Police, Guindy, said the four-page letter written in Tamil by a person identifying himself as one Amudhavel, `Municipal Councellor` at Vathalagundu wanted her not to miss the Madurai trip so that the plan could be carried out. No dates were however mentioned.

The channel requested that proper investigation be carried out to nab the sender of the letter and provide necessary protection to Jayalalithaa and to render justice.

AIADMK sources said this is the 10th such letter received
by the TV channel.

Last week, Tamil Nadu government had decided to hand over
to CBI the cases regarding repeated death threats issued to
Jayalalithaa.
