Sixty students fall ill after mid-day meal

Sixty students were hospitalised when they complained of vomiting and diarrhoea after allegedly having food served under mid-day meal scheme.

Srivilliputhur (TN): Sixty students of a private school near here were hospitalised when they complained of vomiting and diarrhoea after allegedly having food served under mid-day meal scheme, officials said on Tuesday.

They said a dead lizard had led to contamination of the food served at the school yesterday.
While most of them were discharged last evening, seven students were discharged today, they said.
