Erode (TN): A Sri Lankan woman refugee was found murdered near the Bhavanisagar refugee camp in the district, police said here on Sunday.
They said the 65-year-old woman had left the camp last night to collect firewood for cooking from the nearby Mudukkanthurai forest area. As she did not return till this morning, the other inmates informed police, who launched a search for her.
Her body was found one km away from the camp, police said, adding she had been strangulated.
