Teacher arrested for sexually assaulting school students
Salem: A teacher at a private school at Ammapet area has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting students.

Students complained to their parents about the 45-year-old teacher, a Tamil Pandit, following which they informed the District Child Protection officer, police said.

The woman officer yesterday went to the school and conducted an enquiry with the students and the teacher.

The man was later arrested and a case has been registered against him under the Prevention of Child Abuse Act 2012, police said.

He was produced before the magistrate of the district additional Mahila court late last night, who remanded him to 15 days judicial custody.
