Basti: A man was sentenced to life imprisonment and a penalty of Rs 5,000 by a local court for killing his nine-month-old son by poisoning him two years ago.
Judge Aftab Alam, on Monday held Radhey Shyam guilty of poisoning his infant son Shivam in May 2009 after having a dispute with his wife Radhika in Pakribhiki village of Walterganj area, assistant government counsel Yogendra Bahadur Singh said.
Radhika's father Uday Shanker had lodged an FIR against Shyam in the case, he said.
