Lucknow: Opposition BJP on Thursday demanded CBI
inquiry into all the murder, rape and kidnapping cases in
which names of BSP leaders have come to light.
"BSP leaders are fearlessly indulging in heinous crimes
such as kidnapping, rape and murder and since they enjoy the
patronage of powerful people, the police is unable to carry
out impartial inquiry. Therefore, only CBI inquiry can unravel
the truth in these cases," BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak
told reporters here.
He said people in Uttar Pradesh were suffering as the
state police had no control over leaders belonging to the
ruling BSP.
