Blast in illegal cracker making factory in UP, 6 dead

Lucknow: A major explosion was reported from an illegal cracker making factory in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

Six people are reported to be dead and several injured.

Last year, a similar tragedy had struck at Mudalipatti, 13 km from Sivakasi, a region known for frequent accidents in the match and fireworks industries.
Thirty-eight persons, including two women, most of them believed to be villagers who rushed to the site of an explosion at a cracker unit, were killed when a large stock of explosives blew.
