Mathura: AICC secretary Abdul Mannan Monday
said the Congress will not enter into an alliance with any party and will contest the forthcoming Assembly elections in
Uttar Pradesh on its own.

"Congress would contest next Vidhan Sabha elections in
Uttar Pradesh all alone," Mannan told reporters here.
Mannan said his party`s main fight is against communal
forces which have become weak but may still create hurdle in
the path of development. He also criticised the role of
"caste-based parties" in the state saying that they are
dangerous for the developmental process.

He asked the people to vote for Congress emphasising that
the party has a larger base and can counter communal forces in
a better way.
He also alleged that despite massive funds from the
Centre infrastructure still remains underdeveloped in the
state.
