FIR against BSP MLA for demolishing house of a dalit

An FIR has been lodged against a BSP MLA and others for allegedly grabbing a piece of land after demolishing the house of a Dalit at a village near here, a police official said on Saturday.

land after demolishing the house of a Dalit at a village near
here, a police official said on Saturday.

The FIR was lodged against BSP MLA from Khesraha Tabish
Ahmed Khan, his brother Iftikar Alam Khan and some supporters
under various sections of the SC\ST and Criminal Law Amendment
Act yesterday following a protest by locals, Additional
Superintendent of Police, Arvind Bhushan Pandey said.

The protesters alleged that the BSP legislator, his
brother and their supporters grabbed a piece of land after
razing to the ground the thatched house of Ram Lakhan, a Dalit
in Rajedeeha village under Bakhira police station area, the
official said.
