FIR registered against 14 people for torching Dalit`s house

Mau: An FIR has been lodged against
14 people, including a policeman and three revenue department
staff, for their alleged involvement in torching a Dalit`s
house in Mohamadabad Gohana area, police said here.

On a directive of National Commission for SC/ST, the
FIR was lodged against 14 people, including policeman R P
Sharma, revenue department employees Ram Lakhan Yadav, Satish
Singh and Sadafal Yadav, they said.

House of Kailash Ram, a Dalit, was torched in Sheikh
Ahmadpur village on May 3 in an alleged bid to grab his land,
they said.

Kailash Ram lodged a complaint with NCSC after which
its director R D Chandrahas visited the village on Friday and
directed to lodge the FIR.
