Former BJP MLC joins SP

Unhappy over denial of ticket to his sister-in-law in the coming local bodies` elections, former BJP MLC, Chandrapal Singh has joined Samajwadi Party.

Bhimnagar: Unhappy over denial of ticket to his sister-in-law in the coming local bodies` elections, former BJP MLC, Chandrapal Singh alias Pappu Chaudhary has joined the Samajwadi Party, officials said.

Chaudhary, who had contested election from Bilari Assembly seat and Sambhal Lok Sabha seat as BJP candidate in the past, on Sunday announced that he was joining the Samajwadi Party along with his supporters.

Alleging that some leaders in the BJP were indulging in politics of opposition, he said that he was feeling suffocated in the party for past some time.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party declared Chaudhary`s sister-in-law Poonam Chaudhary as party supported candidate for the election of Chairman of Chandausi Nagar Palika Parishad.
