Lucknow: To tackle and scientifically
investigate cases of cyber crimes, four cyber crime bureaus
would be set up in different districts of Uttar Pradesh.
"Cyber crime bureaus would be set up in Lucknow,
Gautam Buddha Nagar, Agra and Varanasi for speedy disposal of
such cases through scientific investigation," Chairperson of
Cyber Appellate Tribunal under Union IT Ministry Justice
Rajesh Tandon said here.
During a meeting with the state officials, Justice
Tandon said that police department employees having complete
knowledge of technology related to cyber crimes should be
inducted in these bureaus.
Principal Secretary IT and electronics of UP would be
appointed as the adjudicating officer, he said.
He said that principal secretaries of IT and
electronics departments have been appointed as adjudicating
officers in several states.
