Guard commits suicide, two policemen suspended

Bareilly: A guard allegedly committed suicide after he was tortured by policemen following which an SHO and a sub-inspector have been suspended, police said here
on Friday.

Guard Jograj allegedly committed suicide on August 9 by hanging himself from a tree after he was detained on theft charges and humiliated by policemen, his family members have claimed.

Following the incident, Station House Officer of Diyoria police station of Pilibhit, KL Sonkar, and sub-inspector Sher Khan have been suspended.
