Jilted lover shoots girl, commits suicide in UP

Amethi: A 15-year-old girl was shot at and seriously injured by a jilted youth, who also shot himself dead in her school in Jagdishpur area here, police said on Wednesday.
Durgesh Yadav alias Malkhan Yadav (25), a farmer by profession, barged into the school of the student of Class VII in Gaimau village and whipped out a country-made weapon and shot at the girl, SP, Alankrita Singh said.
The youth then shot himself from the point blank range and died on the spot, the SP said, adding that the girl was rushed to Lucknow`s trauma centre where her condition is now stable.

The youth and the girl are said to be relatives and the youth had been pursuing her for some time.
