Meerut: A teenaged girl was allegedly killed by her cousin brother over her relationship with a neighbour here, police said on Saturday.
18-year-old Monica was in a relationship with her neighbour Monu (22). Irate over their relationship, accused Arun went to Monica's home yesterday and asked her to end the affair.
Monica rejected his offer following which enraged Arun choked her to death, said police officer Vikas Tripathi.
Arun later handed himself to police and said that he was frequently teased by Monu's friends over his sister's relationship.
A case has been registered by Incholi police after father of the girl lodged a complaint and the accused was remanded in custody.
