Minor Dalit girl gangraped in UP

Mau: A minor Dalit girl was allegedly gangraped by four youths in Chirayyakot police area, officials said here on Thursday.
The incident occurred late last evening when the girl, a high school student, along with her friend had gone to pluck vegetables from a field in Manajeet village, they said.
Four youths, who were already waiting there, forcibly dragged the girl and raped her, police said, adding that the accused later fled from the spot when the victim`s friend reached the village and raised an alarm.

A youth identified as Sanjay Yadav had been detained in this connection, they said.
