Minor girl raped, strangled by youth

Lakhimpur: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly
raped and murdered by a youth in Singahi area here, police
said on Sunday.
The girl was forcefully taken to an isolated place and
raped by Kamlesh Rana in Uma village on Friday night and when
she raised an alarm the accused strangled her, they said.
Kamlesh, who was absconding after the incident, was
arrested yesterday, the police said.
