Ghaziabad: The CBI, probing the Nithari
serial killings case, had a mixed fortune on Tuesday in the special
court hearing the trial, as one witness turned hostile while
another testified against Maninder Singh Pandher, a co-accused
in the case.

When prosecution counsel JP Sharma produced Gajender
before special CBI judge Shyam Lal in the Chhoty Payal case,
related to the serial killings, the witness went back on his
statement against sub-inspector Simran Kaur, who was posted in
the area during the time of the murders.

Meanwhile, Babita, another witness in the same case,
identified co-accused Pandher for sexually exploiting girls.
