Rajnath, Modi to attend UP BJP`s executive meeting

Rajnath Singh and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi are likely to attend the party`s state executive meeting to be held at Vrindavan in September.

Lucknow: BJP president Rajnath Singh and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi are likely to attend the party`s state executive meeting to be held at Vrindavan in September.

"The programme was decided during a meeting of the party office-bearers in the presence of state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai and assistant UP in-charge Rameshwar Chaurasiya," BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here on Wednesday.

Rajnath Singh and Narendra Modi are expected to attend the party`s state executive committee meeting, he said.

After the executive committee meeting, a party programme to be attended by around 15,000 members above divisional president and general secretary rank would be held, he said.

BJP was ready for Lok Sabha elections, Bajpai said while addressing party workers.

He alleged that SP, Congress and BSP stand exposed and complement each other on the issue of minority appeasement and corruption.

In the current political scenario, elections could be held any time and the party should be prepared and take a leading role in raising public related issues, Bajpai said.
