Rare Buddha idol recovered, three arrested

A rare idol of Lord Buddha, worth Rs 1 crore in the international market, was recovered and 3 persons were arrested in this connection .

Chandauli (UP): A rare idol of Lord Buddha, worth Rs one crore in the international market, was recovered and three persons were arrested in this connection from near Mughalsarai here, police said on Monday.
Rajesh Kumar, Rajendra Patel and Nihala of Bhadohi district were nabbed yesterday during a vehicle checking drive and the rare idol worth Rs one crore in the international market was recovered from their possession, they said.
Further investigations into the matter are on, police said.
