Three sentenced for drug trafficking in Phugana

A local court has sentenced three persons for varying jail terms for trafficking drugs in Phugana village in the district in 2011.

Muzaffarnagar: A local court has sentenced three persons for varying jail terms for trafficking drugs in Phugana village in the district in 2011.

While two persons were sentenced to ten years imprisonment, one person was sentenced to four years imprisonment by Additional District and Sessions Judge Harish Tripathi yesterday.

The judge also imposed a fine of Rs. One lakh each on two convicts Mursalim and Zulfam and Rs. 10,000?on Irfan after holding them guilty under the NDPS Act.

The police had nabbed Mursalim and Zulfam with 8 kg. charas while one kg was seized from Irfan in Phugana village in the district on January 16, 2011.
