Barabanki: Three persons were sentenced to death by a local court here for killing a woman over a property dispute seven years ago.
While acquitting two persons, Virendra Kumar and Balraj, for lack of evidence, Additional Sessions Judge Rajendra Chandra held the other accused Narendra, Rakesh and Karan guilty and sentenced them to death yesterday.
The victim Awadhrani was hacked to death in Ladaipurwara village in Loni Katra on January 12, 2004.
Awadhrani's nephew Ravikant Varma had lodged a named FIR against the five accused.
