Bhadoi: A village head was shot dead by unidentified persons in Kotwali area, police said here on Saturday.
Achche Lal Maurya (40) was shot at in Surhan while he was returning home late last night. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, they said.
An FIR has been lodged, police said, adding that the motive behind the murder was not clear.
