Wanted dacoit, aide arrested

Farrukhabad: A dacoit carrying a cash
reward of Rs 25,000 on his head was arrested along with his
aide after an encounter, police said here on Monday.

Fakkad, who escaped from police custody in January
last year, and his aide Ashok were arrested by special
operations group from Ganga ki Katri area late last night,
Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Kumar Meena said.

He said that Fakkad, who was active in Farrukhabad,
Hardoi, Badaun and Shahjahanpur districts, was wanted in more
than a dozen cases.
