EC to publish Uttarakhand panchayat polls results online

Dehradun: For the first time, Uttarakhand panchayat poll results will be available on the internet and mobile phones. With the help of National Informatics Centre, the Election Commission will for the first time display the panchayat poll results on the internet and mobile, State Election Commissioner Subardhan said while reviewing preparations for counting in the three-tier panchayat elections held in three phases on June 18, 21, and 24.

An application can be downloaded from the ECI website to view the panchayat polls results on mobile phone.

NIC`s technical director also instructed the District Magistrates and senior police officials through video conferencing on how to update polls results on the internet.
