Five killed in road accident

Five persons, including two women, were killed and nine others injured in Bankura district

Bankura: Five persons, including two
women, were killed on Sunday and nine others injured in Bankura
district after a motor van in which they were commuting was
hit by a pick-up van, police said.

Three of them were killed on the spot while two died
at Rampurhat Hospital in the collision at Tarapith station
road.

Around 20 passengers, mostly labourers were commuting
in the motor van.

The driver of the pick-up van fled away from the spot,
police said.
