Howrah (WB): Two days after being
allegedly kidnapped in Domjur area of Howrah district, a class
IV student was rescued by police this evening.
A senior police officer said Md Irfan (9) had been
reported missing outside his Domjur home from January 2

While his businessman father reportedly got a ransom
demand of Rs 10 lakh on mobile, police who tracked all his
calls pleaded ignorance about any ransom demand.
Finally, a district police team pinpointed a shelter
outside Howrah town and rescued Irfan this evening, he said.
Unconfirmed reports, however, claimed Irfan was
rescued from a house in Khidderpore area of south-west
Kolkata.
