`Kidnapped` school boy rescued in WB

Two days after being allegedly kidnapped in Domjur area of Howrah district, a class IV student was rescued by police this evening.

allegedly kidnapped in Domjur area of Howrah district, a class
IV student was rescued by police this evening.

A senior police officer said Md Irfan (9) had been
reported missing outside his Domjur home from January 2
afternoon.
While his businessman father reportedly got a ransom
demand of Rs 10 lakh on mobile, police who tracked all his
calls pleaded ignorance about any ransom demand.

Finally, a district police team pinpointed a shelter
outside Howrah town and rescued Irfan this evening, he said.
Unconfirmed reports, however, claimed Irfan was
rescued from a house in Khidderpore area of south-west
Kolkata.

There was no immediate report about any arrest.
