Left alleges Trinamool acting as front outfit of Maoists

The ruling Left Front today alleged that the Trinamool Congress was acting as a front outfit of Maoists in West Bengal while the UPA government had chosen to remain silent on the issue.

Kolkata: The ruling Left Front today
alleged that the Trinamool Congress was acting as a front
outfit of Maoists in West Bengal while the UPA government had
chosen to remain silent on the issue.

"Trinamool Congress is forming various committees to
aid the banned CPI(Maoist) in creating lawlessness and anarchy
in West Bengal," Left Front Chairman Biman Bose alleged.

Bose, the state secretary of the CPI(M), claimed that
the UPA government was aware of the anarchy being created by
the Trinamool Congress, but was sitting tight over it.
"It is unfortunate that the Centre is silent."

He also raised the issue of alleged illegal
appointments by Railways under Trinamool Congress
chief Mamata Banerjee.

"The real face of the symbol of honesty is exposed in
the illegal appointments in Metro Railway about which our
party leader Basudeb Acharia highlighted yesterday," he said.

Acharia, president of Railway Contractors Labour
Union (West Bengal), a unit of the CPI(M)`s labour arm CITU
had yesterday alleged that the Metro Railway appointed 123
people illegally in Group-D post.

"Their only qualification seems to be that they are
either Trinamool Congress or Congress supporters."
