Mamata Banerjee`s mother on life support

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata
Banerjee`s mother Gayetri Banerjee was admitted to state-run
SSKM Hospital here and was put on life support on Saturday.

Gayetri Banerjee, 81, underwent dialysis and was put on
life support in the ICU, Director of Medical Education
Sushanta Banerjee told PTI.

He said the condition of Gayetri Banerjee remained
"stable but critical".

She was admitted to the hospital yesterday with kidney
problem.
A medical board has been formed under Dr. R Pande for
Gayetri Banerjee to attend on her, Hospital Superintendent P C
Chakraborty said.

The chief minister visited her mother at the hospital
late last evening.
