Bolpur (WB): One of the three accused in
connection with the beheading of a man at a Kali temple in
Birbhum district, has confessed to the crime, a police
official said.
Kalu Soren, arrested over the murder of Paresh Bagdi in
the compound of a Kali temple at Donaipur on April 14 night,
confessed to having chopped of his head at the sacrificial
block along with two friends after all the four consumed
liquor.
Soren and Bagdi were working in a concrete pipe factory
at Bolpur and police suspected Soren was nursing some grudge.
The two other accused, Babulal Murmu and Dulal Murmu were
also interrogated.
The naked decapitated body of Bagdi was found last
Wednesday in the temple premises with the vermilion-smeared
severed head lying a little distance away.
All the accused hailed from Donaipur village.
