Howrah (WB): A Trinamool Congress candidate for Howrah Zilla Parishad was killed along with another person in a road accident at Kharurberia in the district on Monday.
Dinesh Mondal (40) and his companion met with the accident when a bicycle, which had been hit by a SUV, fell on their motorbike which in turn hit an electric post, police said.
Mondal died on the spot, while his companion died in hospital. His polling agent was injured critically.
