Wireless sets recovered from Susanta`s home

The CID has filed a fresh complaint against former CPI(M) minister Susanta Ghosh after two wireless sets were recovered from his Chandrakona residence in West Midnapore district.

Kolkata: The CID has filed a fresh
complaint against former CPI(M) minister Susanta Ghosh after
two wireless sets were recovered from his Chandrakona
residence in West Midnapore district.

"Two wireless sets were recovered from the Chandrakona
residence of Susanta Ghosh during search. These are unlicensed
and possession of these without licence is a violation of the
Wireless Telegraph Act. A complaint has been filed at the
Chandrakona police station," DIG (CID) K Jayaraman said.

Pointing out that the apparatus recovered were not police
wireless sets, Jayaraman said that their frequency was being
ascertained at a laboratory.

Those living in the house could not give satisfactory
explanation regarding the recovery in the house, he said.

In an another search in Ghosh`s ancestral house at
Garbeta, the CID recovered 16 rounds of ammunition, two mobile
phones without SIM cards and a spy camera-pen with 8 GB memory
from the room of the former minister`s brother Prasanta, the
DIG said.

A complaint under the Arms Act has been filed against
Prasanta.

Meanwhile, authorities of the SSKM Hospital today formed
a four-member medical board on request from the CID to
ascertain when Ghosh could be interrogated again.
Ghosh was admitted to the hospital`s ICCU last night
after he complained of uneasiness.

Doctors treating him said various medical tests were done
on him. His blood pressure was normal and condition stable,
they said.
