London: Britain`s security agencies are monitoring "round the clock" two active terrorist cells believed to be planning attacks in the country, even as London observes the fifth anniversary of 7/7 tube bombings that killed 52 people.
The cells stand out from dozens of police and security
services operations because they have discussed methods of
attack, including "soft targets", that could result in
large-scale civilian casualties.

Andy Hayman, the former assistant commissioner who led
the 7/7 investigation while he was at Scotland Yard in charge
of counter-terrorism wrote in the Times daily today that
"Britain is under its biggest ever threat from terror".

It said Britain`s security agencies are tracking
"round the clock" two terror cells planning attacks in the UK.
He said: "There are now probably more radicalised
Muslims, their attack plans are more adventurous and the UK
still remains under severe risk".

No official events were planned to commemorate the
anniversary of the bombings, although wreaths are laid on
behalf of Prime Minister David Cameron and London Mayor Boris
Johnson at the Hyde Park memorial to the victims.
