Beijing: A provincial official of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) will be prosecuted on corruption charges after appearing in a sex video, local prosecutors said on Friday .
Lei Zhengfu, former secretary of in southwest China`s Chongqing`s Beibei District Committee of the CPC was found to have appeared in a sex video in November.
He was removed from his official post later.
The prosecution said it is filing charges against Lei, as police have completed their investigation into Lei`s alleged crimes, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
Another person to be prosecuted is Xiao Ye, who was found to have secretly recorded their sexual acts and then blackmailed those involved, officials said.
In January this year, 10 officials of government or state-owned enterprises in Chongqing were sacked for their alleged involvement in sex videos.
