Yangon: An official says Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi has held talks with the country`s president for the second time in less than two weeks.
The director of the president`s office, Col Zaw Htay, says Suu Kyi and President Thein Sein met this evening in the capital, Naypyitaw. He declined to provide details of the talks.
Suu Kyi and Thein Sein are key players in Myanmar`s political transformation after a half-century of military rule. They have met on three previous occasions, most recently on August 12.
No details of that meeting were released. Suu Kyi heads the main opposition group in parliament, which is currently in session. The legislature is overwhelmingly dominated by allies of the former military regime.
