London: A Saddam Hussein’s look-alike in the Egyptian city of Alexandria has revealed that gunmen abducted him and tried to force him to impersonate the tyrant in a porn film.
Egyptian Mohamed Bishr was offered 205,000 pounds to play the Iraqi dictator, who was executed six years ago, the Mirror reported.
He revealed that shortly after he snubbed the thugs’ threatening phone calls, three men in black suits snatched him from his car, while he was headed to a café, and beat him up after he still insisted that he would not do the hardcore sex flick.
Apparently, the gang had wanted to pass the tape off as genuine footage of former-Iraqi leader Hussein.
Bishr, who was recovering in hospital from his beating, said: “The three men, who had guns hanging from their belts, forced me out of my car and shoved me into a van, hitting my head.”
Bishr, from Alexandria on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast, is so similar to Hussein that he has previously been attacked by Iraqi’s living there, who mistook him for the toppled dictator.
“We asked the police to put special protection on our father because this has happened several times,” his son Mahmood said.
Bishr said passers-by witnessed the assault but were too afraid to get involved. The last thing he said that he remembered was being thrown from the van on to the pavement.
