Beirut: Reports of several Syrians still feared `trapped` in a suburb in Damascus, Moaddamiyah, have raised concern for the civilians who are still stuck in the area.

The unconfirmed reports have stated that thousands of civilians are afraid to leave, as per a BBC news report.

Caught in the cross-fire between the Bashar al-Assad government and the Syrian rebels, thousands of civilians were allowed to leave the area after a deal was made between the two warring sides.

Moaddamiyah, one of the worst affected areas of the country, surrounded by the Syrian Army.
