Beirut: In what could escalate tensions between Damascus and Beirut, Syrian warplanes on Monday hit targets along Syria`s border with Lebanon.
According to Lebanon`s official news agency, National News Agency, Syrian jets struck targets in a remote area near the town of Arsal.
The shelling comes just days after Damascus warned Beirut to stop militants from crossing the border to fight with rebels.
