Minister Hector Navarro denied rumours spread about suspension
of night classes as part of the country`s energy saving plan.
He said the opposition groups was spreading the rumors
and added the school period 2009-2010 will be reactivated from
today.
In an interview to Educando en Socialism programme,
broadcast by Radio National de Venezuela, Navarro asked all
Venezuelans to take steps leading to a rational use of energy
and drinking water.
On Tuesday, Vice President and Defense Minister Ramon
Carrizalez reiterated the call to save energy to mitigate the
impact of the draught caused by El Nino climate effect.
We need to change consumption trends in order to curb
them and eliminate the waste of electricity, he said during a
press conference in the vice presidential headquarters.
