Michoacan, Durango, Baja California, Chihuahua, Sonora
and Aguas Calientes registered confrontations and killings
since yesterday with the participation of groups linked to the
smuggling of people and the trafficking of drugs.

In Uruapan, the second most populated city of Michoacan,
an armed clash between capos of Los Zetas and La Familia
Michoacana drug cartels was staged, resulting one person dead
and at least another seven arrested.

According to a report from the Secretariat of Public
Security, the incident took place when members of La Familia
drug cartel found a facility used as security house and
operation center of Los Zetas cartel.

Meanwhile, 19 homicides and the death of two teenagers
were staged by a grenadier command in a locality of Chihuahua
province. A man was also beheaded in Parral area, in the same
province.
Baja California authorities said that eight murders were
reported between Friday and Monday, including a man who was
hanged on a bridge.
Another six bodies were found in a construction area in
Nogales, Sonora State.
