London: In her nearly six decades on the throne, Britain`s Queen Elizabeth II has received numerous gifts but none as unusual as the one proffered Thursday when a racehorse breeder felt the monarch might like free horse sperm shot worth 8,615 dollars.
French woman Cristina Patino, owner of last year`s Epsom Oaks winner Snow Fairy, offered for one of the Queen`s mares the free services of her male horse Big Bad Bob, the Daily Express reported on Friday.
Big Bad Bob, an 11-year-old who fathered 14 winners, is based at the Irish National Stud, which the queen visited Thursday during her four-day State visit to Ireland.
She was shown around by stud chairwoman Lady O`Reilly, wife of business magnate Tony O`Reilly. Talking animatedly about her favourite hobby, the queen cast an expert eye over stallions at the stud.
