J&K Interlocutors’ final report in September

Maintaining that nobody wants division or trifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir as per their interactions with people in the state, Centre-appointed Interlocutors on J&K said they will submit their final report in September.

their interactions with people in the state, Centre-appointed
Interlocutors on J&K on Saturday said they will submit their final
report in September.
"We will submit final report in September (to Central
Government) as in our ten visits we have covered 18 districts
out of 22," Chairman of the 3-member panel Dileep Padgaonkar
told reporters after meeting a delegation here.

To a question about the demand for trifurcation of the
state, he said "nobody wants division. They (people) want to
remain one. This is what people told us during interactions".

He said the panel has met 534 delegations comprising
various shades of opinions including political parties, civil
society, cultural groups and NGOs.

The panel met delegations including newly elected
panchs and sarpanchs in Reasi and Kathua districts on the
second day of their five-day visit of the Jammu region.
The Interlocutors will be holding a two-day Round
Table Conference (RTC) in Jammu from July 11-12 to promote
greater understanding of the cultures of various region.
