Lashing out at the Opposition PDP for launching a tirade against the Jammu and Kashmir government, National Conference on Friday held a demonstration in the state.

Jammu: Lashing out at the Opposition PDP for
launching a tirade against the Jammu and Kashmir government,
National Conference on Friday held a demonstration in the state.

About 700 NC activists, including legislators, took out a
protest rally and marched toward the PDP headquarters in
Gandhi Nagar.
However, they were stopped at Tawi Brigade, police said,
adding a minor clash erupted between the activists and police
which lasted for an hour.

The activists raised slogans against PDP president
Mehbooba Mufti for her tirade against the state government.
They also demonstrated against the "misleading" campaign
launched by the PDP against the state government that "it had
set up a counter stone-pelting force to divert the attention
from its failures on governance and political front".

A senior NC leader alleged that police baton-charged the
activists in which 4 persons were injured.
