Omar: education accessible to poor children in J&K

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah stressed on making education accessible to poor children and sought NGOs help in this direction.

Abdullah on Friday stressed on making education accessible to poor
children and sought NGOs help in this direction.

"Affluent and resourceful people are in a position to
impart education to their wards in high profile schools.We
have to focus on children belonging to poor families and make
education accessible to them the state education department
and NGOs in the field should work collectively in this
direction," he said at a function in Channi Himmat here.

The chief minister said the state government would extend
all help to the institutions working for providing education
to children of weaker sections.
