J&K CM Omar Abdullah said the move will ensure that benefits of peace in the state percolate to all sections of the society.

Srinagar: Sticking to his demand for AFSPA
revocation from those areas where normalcy has returned, Jammu
and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said the move
will ensure that benefits of peace in the state percolate to
all sections of the society.

Revocation of AFSPA in areas where the role of Army has
ended due to the restoration of peaceful situation will allow
all sections of the society to reap the benefits of peace, he
said at a function in Bandipora, 45 km from here.

Without naming opposition PDP, Omar said it is playing
politics over the AFSPA revocation issue.

The Chief Minister, who was speaking at a function after
launching the comprehensive management action plan for the
conservation of world famous `Wular` Lake, said a peaceful and
prosperous JK is his mission.

"We would take all efforts in this direction," he said.

The Wular conservation management action plan envisages
survey demarcation, catchment conservation, water management,
bio-diversity conservation, eco-tourism development,
sustainable resources development, enhancement of livelihood
earning capacity and institutional development.
