Three injured in grenade attack by militants

A CRPF jawan was among three persons who were injured on Tuesday when militants hurled a grenade at security forces in Sopore area of Baramulla district of north Kashmir.

Srinagar: A CRPF jawan was among three persons who were injured on Tuesday when militants hurled a grenade at security forces in Sopore area of Baramulla district of north Kashmir, officials said.

Militants hurled the grenade at the joint patrolling party of CRPF and police at Chanakhan in Sopore, 52 kms from here, at around 12.15 PM, police said.

The grenade landed by the road side, resulting in injuries to two civilians and a CRPF jawan, they said.
No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
