Ten militants killed in Afghanistan

NATO-led forces during a patrol in southern Afghan killed 10 militants, Xinhua reported.

Kabul: NATO-led forces during a patrol in southern Afghanistan`s Helmand province killed 10 militants, Xinhua reported.

"A coalition force conducting a mounted patrol in Helmand province killed more than 10 insurgents and discovered improvised explosive device (IED) materials during combat operations Saturday," the military alliance said.

Earlier in the day, NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) also confirmed that over 30 militants were killed in the early hours Saturday after its forces repelled insurgents` attacks on military outposts in Afghanistan`s eastern Paktika province.
