UP polls: Over 1 crore unaccounted cash recovered

Lucknow: Unaccounted cash totaling over Rs 101.50 lakh were on Thursday recovered from different districts of Uttar Pradesh during a drive to check flow of illegal money during Assembly elections.
A total Rs 79 lakh unaccounted cash was recovered during
checking of vehicles in Panchsheel Nagar, home department
sources here said.

Rs 15.50 lakh was recovered from Unnao and Rs 7 lakh from
Etawah, they said.
Income Tax department officials have been informed of the
recovery and investigations were on.
